(Tune: Leader of the Band)

A quiet simple countryland, just some place on a road

Covered with the bright fall leaves and snowdrifts when its cold

Until the sun warms up the sky 'cause summers on its way

This place becomes a special home to children on their way.

Some of us were strangers, and some of us old friends

We came from different places yet our worlds were forced to blend

As we look around us now, we see one thing's the same

The smile that shines on every face when we think of Camp Green Lane.

They'll come a time you'll feel alone

And you'll need a soothing thought

Just recall a memory of great times that camp brought

The moments shared with you my friend, I hope will long remain

Forever we'll be thankful for the gift of Camp Green Lane.

When we're at home through winter months

We'll sit and watch snow fall

We'll hear a quiet beckoning

We'll hear Camp Green Lane' call.

And suddenly our hearts are filled

with longing and love

Minds turn to green grass under foot

and clear skies up above.

Now I'll reach out a hand to you to wipe away the tear

I'll always keep you in my heart till we return next year.

They'll come a time you'll feel alone

And you'll need a soothing thought

Just recall a memory of great times that camp brought

The moments shared with you my friend, I hope will long remain

Forever we'll be thankful for the gift of Camp Green Lane.
